Anyone who lives near pine trees, knows that parking under or near a pine tree, can give you a big problem - pitch/sap on your paint, that is just about impossible to remove, without messing up the paint finish. It forms what looks, and feels like a spot of hardened model cement (like that used to build model cars/planes). Most people use harsh solvents to dissolve the sap, and even scrape it off, which may damage the clear coat finish. Ive even had professional detailers tell me that there is no good (or easy) way to remove pine tar pitch. Well now there is an easy way to remove the pitch, and still have the finish looking the way you want it to - with RACE GLAZE ® Polish & Sealant.
To remove the pine tar pitch/sap, apply enough RACE GLAZE ® Polish & Sealant over each spot of sap, to form a puddle of polish. Let the polish sit on the spot, for about 5 minutes or longer. Rub the spot after a few minutes, and you will feel a granular/gritty substance - that is the sap dissolving. You can rub the polish in a bit more, which will help penetrate the sap, and remove it. Buff off the dry polish, and see if all the sap is gone. If any residue remains, repeat the procedure. You will remove the sap, polish the surface to a higher shine, and protect it for a period of about 4-6 months, all in one step.
