Love BugsFor anyone living in the southern states, you've had a banner year for "love bugs", which can be a real challenge to remove from your vehicle. These are small bugs that fly around "coupled together as a pair", and tend to be in groups - they can make a real mess out of the front of any vehicle. We lived in Florida from 1976-1979, and I vividly recall how difficult is was to get those bugs off the front of our cars (I didn't learn of Race Glaze® Polish & Sealant until 1986). Our daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren , recently moved to the New Orleans area, and are currently dealing with these pesky bugs. They've been told that it is the worst infestation of "love bugs" in 20 years. Their local newspaper said that the best way to keep these bugs from sticking, was to heavily "wax" the front of the car, and then apply a coating of non-stick cooking spray, such as "Pam®". Supposedly this is the best way to keep the bugs from sticking . This seems like at best, a messy way to protect the finish - using cooking spray. Well, my son-in-law has found that by simply keeping a fresh coat of Race Glaze® Polish & Sealant, and/or Race Glaze® Gloss Highlighter, on their cars, removing these "love bugs" is very easy - when he washes their cars using Race Glaze® L.A.S. Wash, the bugs come off easily with a sponge or wash mitt. Check out our monthly specials, for two packages that offer savings on several of these products. To stay informed of some
